Choosing Reputable Carpet Cleaner

When searching for information regarding what Carpet Company to go with here are some questions to ask:

1) Is the technician going to measure everything then give you a firm price on doing the job?

Some companies use a bait and switch tactic which means they will give you a low price on the phone and double or triple the price when they have completed the job. They will say things like there was a lot of furniture to move, we had to use tabs to lift your furniture and we hadn't figured that. They might also say there was more square footage than you told us on the phone. A reputable company will have a technician measure the job and then give you a firm price. It is usually impossible to give you an exact price without exact dimensions.

2) Does the Carpet cleaning company do backround checks on thier employees?

A reputable company will do backround checks on thier employees to insure the safety of your home or business. This gives you piece of mind should you not want to hang around while the job is being done - you can be ensured your home or business is safe.

3) Does the company use certified technicians and uniformed employees to do the cleaning?

This is extremely important because it means the technician has gone to school for the proper training for any situation that may arise. There are stringent tests that must be passed in order to be certified in Carpet Cleaning. If a company shows up with employees that are not uniformed it could be an indication that company does not take pride in it's appearance or quality. The same would apply to a company that shows up in an old truck that does not properly display the companies name, logo's etc..  Our employees are uniformed and our trucks are fully lettered and clean to present a professional appearance.

4) What is your process?

A certified company should be providing industry standard services. These are:

1) Pre-vacuum to ensure that all soil particles are removed from the nap of the carpet before water is applied. This step prevents carpet wicking which means after you have cleaned the carpet and water is evaporating during the drying process the soil does not rise giving you a spot on the carpet that wasn't there before you had it cleaned.

2) Pre-treating all spots and traffic areas. There are several companies that don't use a pretreatment which keeps thier overhead price down and they tell you your carpe tis stained.

3) Rinsing with 230 degree water ensuring all dustmites and indoor air pollutants are killed because the water is beyond boiling.

4) Extracting the water with 15 pounds of suction leaving your carpet 95% dry.

5) Brushing the carpet with a grooming rake for faster drying time. This step prevents mildew problems if the carpet is slow drying due to fabric type.
