Are you sleeping with millions of dust mites?
Dust mites prefer warm, moist surroundings such as the inside of a mattress. A favorite food is dander (both human and animal skin flakes). Humans shed about 1/5 ounce of dander (dead skin) each week. About 80 percent of the material seen floating in a sunbeam is actually skin flakes. Carpeting and household upholstery also support high dust mite populations
Our truck mounted steam cleaning system is excellent for curing this problem. We thoroughly clean all affected areas. We recommend to the homewoner who is having problems with allergies that they start from the top of the room down(i.e. Ceiling fans, book shelves ,etc.). It is also a good idea if possible to borrow a vacuum for the affected areas, this way you don't spread the dander etc. after the carpets/upholstery is cleaned.
We strongly recommend people have the entire bedrooms cleaned, not just around beds. Under beds is the biggest source of dust mites, simply from changing bedding. Some customers will try to cut corners in this area not realizing this. We have special tools that reach under beds, making it more cost effective to do the entire bedroom. When we use our truck mounted system the temperature of the water is above boiling, killing everything in the carpeting/upholstery. We then use 15 pounds of suction which ensures everything is sucked out of the cleaned area. If someone is very sensitive to pet/dander allergies we recommend they have the cleaning done every six months to help allieviate symptoms.
